Mountain Description For Mammoth, California

In the Easter Sierra of California, Mammoth Mountain rises to 11,053 feet and boasts over 3,500 skiable acres of epic terrain. It's got the California-sunshine-yet-heavy-snowfall quality that makes bluebird powder days frequent, and late season skiing some of the best in the country. Mammoth is known for it's top-notch terrain parks, chutes and trees, and leg-burning bump runs. Nearly half the slopes are graded as intermediate, making this a top destination for mid-ability skiers who aspire to tougher terrain.
