Mountain Description For Snowbird, Utah

Snowbird is a classic resort in the heart of the Wasatch Range, and a short drive from Salt Lake City up Little Cottonwood Canyon. The resort boasts some of the best snow in the West at 500" annually, and the terrain ranges from steep chutes to open faces to epic tree skiing. It is a hot spot for advanced skiers, and host to the annual Freeskiing World Tour. Intermediates can find wide open groomers, and close neighbor Alta is just one peak away.
