Mountain Description For Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Steamboat is affectionately known as the original "ski town USA," and features nearly 3,000 acres of terrain across uncrowded, well covered slopes. The area is mostly below tree line, which makes it one of the best tree skiing destinations in the country. Intermediates and experts can find plenty of perfect terrain, while beginners have designated learning areas. More isolated than its Summit County counterparts, Steamboat boasts few crowds and a mellow atmosphere.
