Squaw has loads of steeps. If you get an adrenaline rush and a feeling of satisfaction from skiing or riding steep terrain, Squaw Valley is one of the ski resorts you must visit.

I've gone to many resorts over the years and seem to get the best value with the largest terrain at Squaw Valley. The scenery's terrific and the ski value is much better than place's like Vail, even though Vail has nicer accomodations and facilities

Mountain set up is great. Lot's of high speed lifts. Trails funnel into lifts, without flat trails or hikes. No long slow cross mountain lifts like at Heavenly.

Have skied there several times in the past few years. If I had experience with more on the list, this might not be chosen as my favorite.

Squaw Valley is a great resort for families because they have something for every member! Plenty of green slopes for the beginner and very challenging slopes for the expert! It has wonderful lifts and the ice rink is a lot of fun!

Great terrain, generally great snow, great accomodations and dining at resort and nearby, fun shopping, great ski school concept (Buy 2 hour lesson and start any time during the day), terrific instructors, caring and knowledgeable ski patrol (my son took a ride on one of their sleds and what looked like a serious accident turned out to be just a bruiser).

Village provides great ski in & out to a wide open mountain and a night life too, without the hectic pace of Heavenly area and Colorado glitz resorts. For pure skiing though Alta and Snowbird in Salt Lake especially this past year were the tops!!
