I never had a bad stay at Crested Butte. I wish I could afford to fly every year. Long drive from Clebune Texas. I know the mountain without a map. I hope to bring my extended family soon. Its just hard planning a trip for 20 people and all thoses schedules to work around.

It's a resort that's for skiers and not for people wanting to see the rich and famous. The trails and ski conditions are the best in Colorado

it is small enough that the kids can get around by themselves, but big enough to have great skiing (and boarding for them)..it feels very family safe there

Everyone at CB is very hospitable and courteous, the skiing is excellent, more of an advanced mountain, and everything is easily accessible from wherever you stay.

When in Crested Butte I had the best time ever. The snow was perfect, not ice or man made like at many other resorts. It snowed every day so it was always fresh powder.

Stayed at another property right at the bottom of the ski slopes. Could watch the skiers from the hot tub.

This is by far the prettiest ski area we have been to. The town is perfect, quaint, and packed with excellent dining. Not the easiest place to get to, so it is not as crowded. The drive from Colorado Springs was fun and scenic. It is the kids favorite ski resort, too.

This is a voice from the past, as when I stayed at the Forest Inn in 1979, the price for bed [in couble decker bunks in bunkroom] plus excellent breakfast was $10 a night. I know I'll never find that bargain again! But I am still happy with simpler, close to the slopes accoommodations.

Crested Butte has the perfect balance between challenging terrain, convenient lodging and great night life. This is a great destination for skiers with different abilities and even for groups with non-skiers. The night life is much more authentic than larger resorts.

Crested Butte probably doesn't have quite as much snow as Telluride, but it's a little closer to where we live in Fort Collins. Luckily we visited it after a 3 foot snow fall, so skiing was terrific. We stayed at a small, reasonably priced lodge with special lift prices and measl. And speaking of meals, Crested Butte definitely had a LOT of reasonable priced restaurants. However, Crested Butte could not match the natural beauty of those steep mountains rising up around the town of! Telluride!

It is a great place to go - The mountain is fantastic from beginners to advanced. The north face is great as it is only accessed by pommer so it keeps the crowds out. The village is like something out of a disney movie. It is easy ot get around with the free bus and everyone is so friendly - even the dogs are happy!
