Best Of Aspen

Aspen has always been one of my favorite ski resorts. Great for partying, dining and shopping. The mountain "Ajax" is mostly for strong intermediate and expert skiers and riders.

This "Best Of" list is very subjective and will change often based on personal experience, reviews and your input. Some of the list is from personal experience and some is from the most popular rankings from review sites like, etc. Send your comments and suggestions to me here.

Best Of Aspen - Green Run
  No Green Runs!
Aspen Mountain does not really have any green runs! If you are a beginner go over to Buttermilk.

  Ruthie's Run
Ruthie's should be skied twice at the minimum, once for skiing, all out, once just for looking, across all of Colorado, down at the town from the hillside.

Bumps and trees under the gondola.

  Best Of Aspen - Breakfast
  Johnny McGuire's Deli
Their breakfast burritos are the best.

  Best Of Aspen - Lunch
  The Big Wrap
This is a great place for a quick, cheap, healthy lunch. This is one of Aspen's favorite little eateries. The Big Wrap was Winner of Aspen Times Best Cheap Eats 2007 One of the most popular lunch spots in Aspen.

  Best Of Aspen - Hamburger
  39 Degree Lounge, Sky Hotel
Emeril Lagasse - "Is there such thing as a posh hamburger? If so, it lives at the 39 Degree Lounge in Aspen, Colo. Ask the Aspen locals where the best burger in town is, and a lot of them answer with the 'Lounge.' Grab a swanky cocktail, add lettuce, tomato, onion, an old-fashioned bun, and of course, a big juicy burger: now that's a recipe for a good time! "

  Best Of Aspen - Dinner
  Brexi Brasserie
French - A traditional French Brasserie. Serving simple, hearty French food.

Sushi - This is one of my favorite Sushi restaurants in the mountains. Nestled beneath a quaint victorian house. Features the cuisine of world renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Japanese-inspired seafood and sushi. Ultra-hip scene and lively bar crowd.

Italian - Considered by many as the most authentic Italian restaurants in the Aspen area.

  Little Annie's Eating House
American - Good comfort food. One of the oldest restaurants in Aspen, and one of the locals' favorites.
