"The best snow is what's under your skis" applies at Hotham. Often windy with hardpack or slush and drizzle, it's still great to get a ski day here in with family and friends.

Mt hotham is a skiers paradise, it offers far more terrain that all other Victorian resorts and has half the crowd. Made up from a range of valleys, hotham offers advanced skiers and boarders line after line of challenging terrain and fun, when you get sick of that (you wont) just head out to the back country and youve got hundreds of kilometers of playground right infront of your toes.

Mt Hotham has a broad range of accommodation and getting around the mountain is easy. Some great black runs and extensive off piste area well. Weekends can be busy but ski mid week even during the peak season and you won't be queuing for lifts. It's a short season to pick your times well. August usually sees the whole resort operating and opens up a lot of great runs.

Amazingly terrain as far as Australian alps are concerned - however isn’t great value for money with very little discounting ever done, practically ghost town end of season, would really have benefited from discounting tickets/resort entry, to encourage participants in an already alarmingly expensive endeavour in Australia - spending 2 weeks overseas compared with 2 weeks at hotham can be almost evening out even with flights, depending where you go

Great resort once you're in, a nice range of black runs, lift lines can be a little long at times. Roads in aren't good though and parking is not the best. On a nice day it's the best resort on Victoria!
