Silver Star is a great little resort offering amazing terrain for all level with very steep run access toward the back of the mountain

The lifts are very well located on the mountain surrounded by ski in ski out accommodation.

They also have a great little village at the base ofbthe lifts with restaurant, bars and store.

Amazing little ski resort

Silver Star has amazing terrain, with an excellent mix of long groomers on the backside and trees on the front side. Feel on the mountain is more of a local, small town vibe in comparison to other nearby hills that attract more tourists and families.

Silverstar resort is one of my favorite mountains here in British Columbia and right up there within Canada. Although Silverstars village is not huge it does have all the amenities and a few apres activities to keep you and your family busy on your ski vacation. The resort is highly family friendly and only 15 minutes from town center of Vernon in the beautiful Okanagan Valley. Now let's talk terrain and activity. If you have little ones, like most resorts Silverstar can keep them busy with tonnes of novice areas, runs, and activities such as tube town or the rink on brewers pond. Skiers from beginner to expert will be spoiled at Silverstar with terrain to suit whatever your desire. A massive park for all you big air and rail riders in the middle on the front side of the mountain along with everything from easy peasy runs like "far out" to the slightly more challenging runs but still reasonable runs like "F.I.S" So Silverstars front side offers a little if everything keeping the kids, mom, and dad happy. Now for guys like me let's talk backside. Silverstar can bost about this....Unlike most mountains the steep and deeps are lined all up double black heaven!!! You can get the family back here as there is some intermediate runs and a couple greens to ski but for the most part the back is where all us but jobs love to be. I could go on and on labeling but runs named like "free fall" are pretty self explanatory. The backside is kind of our hidden gem and hope it will be for many years. I love Silverstar!!!

My favourite mountain to ski. I’ve been skiing Silverstar for more than 30 years and really have enjoyed my time there. The snow is always great, staff are awesome. I took snowboarding lessons their one year and up was up skiing Blues the next day. If I have one complaint is that the village is a little sparse with both food and amenities but comparing that to whistler is a little unfair. Back side of the mountain is awesome lots of powder and great terrain.

Silver Star is a great mountain. They get nice little powder for most of the ski season. I really like the selection of black diamond runs in close proximity to each other on the back side of the mountain. The village also has a very unique feel as all the building are painted in a mix of vibrant colours.

Silver star is a great year round resort for families and the solo adventurer.
Me and my kids took advantage of the cheap nights to see if it was something we would be into doing as a family and loved it.
We now all have gear and took advantage again of silver stars great early bird season pass pricing as well as early bird lesson pricing. Can’t wait for this season!

Ive been Coming to silverstar ever since my dad first threw me on skis at a very young age(4 or 5) Soon after I began snowboarding. Silverstar has always been the highlight of winter. Its such a beautiful place to go during the winter months. Silverstar has alot of activities for families as well as young adults. They have a beautiful natural pond that is used as a skating rink, and right beside they have tube town where you can go tubing. Silverstars "My one" pass gives you access to free tubing and skating as well as discounts on food and beverage. Silverstar will always be my second home!

I would definitely recommend this ski resort.

This is my favourite little resort in British Columbia. Not the biggest vertical, not the most technical terrain, but plenty of variety for both alpine and nordic skiing, and a small, friendly village, with plenty of ski-in ski-out accommodation options
