Colorado skiing. The words invoke visions of snowcapped mountains flanking the I-70 as it twists and winds towards your ski destination of choice. Household names like Breckenridge, Vail and Aspen…it's all here, and that's just a starting point before you delve deeper into the many 'local' mountains to discover the hidden gems.

This is the place we recommend for early season skiing for the 2017/18 season – the cold conditions are perfect for snowmaking, and there's a lot of it here to make sure things kick off smoothly! The density of resorts mean that if you're not a fan of one, it's a 30 minute drive to the next! It is no surprise that Colorado is one of the premier ski destinations.

So you've decided on Colorado. How much is it going to cost? Colorado ski packages vary greatly in price, and a lot of the costs boil down to lodging and lift tickets which in turn, depends on the resort you've decided on. In general, the flagship resorts in Aspen and Vail are on the pricey end of the scale. For cheaper options, consider staying outside in the smaller towns such as Silverthorne and Dillion, and drive out to the resorts instead!
