Wolf Creek Ski Area is a family operated resort nestled in the San Juan and Rio Grande National Forests in Colorado, United States. Renowned for its deep snowpack, it is often the ski area with the most snow in Colorado, and also diverse terrain including tree skiing, chutes, glades, bowls and steeps.

Wolf Creek offers two types of lift tickets: day lift tickets and season passes. Seniors ages 80 and above can ski for free. Below highlights the differences between the lift tickets types.
Wolf Creek Day Tickets are available for purchase online and in-resort during the ski season. When lift tickets are purchased online, your will need to show your ID and card used to purchase the tickets to pick up your lift tickets. The day tickets are affordable and cost around $85-95 for a 1-day adult ticket. You can also purchase half-day lift tickets at a slightly lower cost.
Wolf Creek has two types of season passes: Peak Advantage and Supersaver. They can be purchased pre-season at a lower cost. You can also purchase the passes at the discounted price as a family. Below are the differences between the two passes.
Wolf Creek Ski and Snowboard School offer group lessons, private lessons, specialized clinics, and programs.
Wolf Creek Ski Area is located about 23 miles west of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, which is roughly 217 miles drive away from Albuquerque International Sunport. Pagosa Springs is known for its hot springs, including having one of the world’s deepest geothermal hot springs, making it the perfect place to rest and recover after a day at the slopes. The ski town is 71 miles drive to Hesperus Ski Area and 86 miles drive to Purgatory Resort.
Wolf Creek Ski Area, although small, has a few highly-rated on-mountain dining options.
With a scenic view of the Southern San Juan Mountains, this café is a good rest stop for coffee and some baked goods.
Located at the Upper Lodge at the base of the mountain, there are a wide variety of foods at this cafeteria-styled restaurant.
Raven’s Nest, located at the top of Raven’s chairlift, has two different restaurants: Raven’s Grill and Raven’s Roost both serving a variety of food including Southern BBQ, drinks, and pizza.

There are no ski vacation packages to Wolf Creek Ski Area. That said, there are ski vacation packages to most destination resorts in Colorado.
February to March is generally when Wolf Creek receives the most snowfall. However, early and late-season skiing during mid-November or early April could provide excellent skiing conditions depending on the weather conditions.
The base village at Wolf Creek Ski Area offers basic but adequate amenities for visitors. These include a ski and snowboard rental shop, a sports retail store, a ski school for lessons, and a few restaurants.
A one day, sport ski set rental costs $34 for adults and $19 for children. A one day, basic snowboard set can be rented for $37 for adults and $29 for children. Overnight storage is included for free for all rentals. Helmets are not available for rent.
