Belleayre is owned by New York state and is basically a day trip mountain located in the heart of the Catskills. It has about 1400 feet of vertical and a nice mix of trails with some decent blacks and nice blues. Great deals during the week and it holds the some nicely for the... More

The absolute best in eastern tree skiing south of albany. When enough snow, and that's from xmas to end of season, any path to the bottom through the woods is uncrowded, challenging, heaven.

It's a really cool mountain, especially for being so close to a bunch of cities, but unfortunately because of that it often gets pretty crowded. The accommodations are great but it's not really my favorite place to go.
