A great resort situated between Queenstown & Wanaka New Zealand. After an epic drive up a twisting gravel road you reach the base resort with lodge accommodation and restaurants. Skifield is split between two areas the main part of the resort with beginners areas and long runs with high speed lifts back to the top. Cadronna also boasts the best half pipes in the southern hemisphere not to mention the huge international jumps in the park. Out the back is Captains Basin another area full of fun runs ,with good off piste. Cadronna is well with a visit just for the view and great snow. The staff are relaxed and helpful. Make sure you visit some day.
High standard and always a safe option during any season. Expensive and not particularly suited for more advanced skiers looking for unique experiences. Easy access and close to nearby Queenstown, limited food options on mountain.
Cracking resort more easily accessible from Wanaka but also from Queenstown. Is well worth a visit, pistes can be skied in a day. The park is outrageous and will keep you coming back from more. One of the RADist resorts.
Cardrona is such a fun resort. Most people just think of park riding when they think of Cardrona but there is some great terrain to ride outside of the parks (which are amazing) as well. I rode there on a powder day a few years ago and while everyone else was in the park me and my friends were free riding powder with almost no one else around! Plus Wannaka is a great place to visit. It's like a really relaxed (and incredibly beautiful) Queenstown without the crowds.
