Overview of West Virginia
West Virginia is the home of the Appalachian Mountains, and of four ski resorts. The big kid in town is Snowshoe, the largest ski resort in the mid-Atlantic. Snowshoe has 251 acres of skiable train and a good mix of difficulty on 57 runs. The village offers many amenities and great lodging options. Snowshoe is a destination of East Coast skiers, but it has enough variety to provide a fun experience for those who learned to ski out West as well.
