Snowshoe Mountain is great for short stays. It is a very affordable resort, and has some of the best skiing withing a resonable driving distance of the D.C. area. It tends to be much less crowded than other ski resorts closer to D.C. and also has a better layout overall.... More

Snowshoe is excellent for an east coast resort. The pass is probably the best deal on the east coast. The small town area has great food and shops. Wonderful get away spot. Not the west coast but great riding.... More

Snowshoe resort provides without a doubt the best skiing south of Pennsylvania on the East coast. Its high elevation gives it snow that other resorts normally wouldn't get. Odd but fun that the resort is at the summit and not the base of the mountain. Best bet for anyone looking... More
