Panorama Mountain Village is smaller than Whistler or Tremblant, but the ski terrain is plenty big and ample for several days ski vacation, on your way to or from Banff, Lake Louise, Fernie or Kimberly, Kicking Horse and Revelstoke. Panorama's 4,000’ vertical of resort skiing on 2,800 ac offers everything from groomed cruisers like World Cup to the Extreme Dream Zone and off-piste skiing in Taynton Bowl and Founders Ridge.
For the best ski lunch at Panorama, ski to the mid mountain Elkhorn Cabin, owned by Canadian ski instructors Don and Heather Bilodeau. This charming 1952 hut was actually brought to this scenic spot in 1997. It's cozy, go early, and the cuisine is what you'd expect from alpine chalets in Zermatt or St Anton. Site by the fire, looking out at 1,000 Peaks, and try the Quebec tourtiere - a delicious homemade meat pie. Elkhorn Lodge makes our Best on mountain lunch spots in Canada list.
Panorama Springs Lodge offers the best ski in ski out location, with a huge outdoor heated hot tub, and slope views from most suites. Dining at Panorama, you can walk to Wildfire, or the lovely family owned Earl Gray Lodge - a charming chalet run by a British family - make reservations.
Panorama gets plenty of snow, located along the Powder Highway in the Purcell Mountain range of inner British Columbia. We recommend you include a stop here on your ski tour, do a day of heli-skiing at RK Heli or visit other ski resorts on the Powder Highway – Kimberley, Fernie, Kicking Horse and Revelstoke, or head to neighboring Alberta and ski Banff, Sunshine and Lake Louise.
