Big resort with terrain for all skill levels. great destination resort as there is a lot of onsite accommodation. If its not a powder day i like to start with 12 minute laps on sam's knob then work my way across the mountain to big burn and cirque. On a powder day you can do laps through trees on burnt mountain using elk camp lift

We've only been there once, but we remember so many good cruising runs that were perfect for both of us--one a low-end blues skier and one an advanced-blues skier. We also liked the place we stayed: roomy, convenient location for a decent price.

Best ski-in/ski-out resort! Great skiing during the day, and Aspen is just down the road for great nightlife.

It's really not any one thing, but varied dining is one major factor we prefer the Snowmass area.

MOST SKIABLE TERRAIN, BEST CONDITIONS, NICE CLOSE TOWN, MANY DINING FACILITIES, SHOPPING IS SUPER, IN-DOOR AND OUTDOOR ICE SKATING RINK, SKI-IN,SKI-OUT ACCOMODATIONS AVAILABLE, WONDERFUL BREAKFAST INCLUDED IN MOST HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS. WONDERFUL WIDE OPEN RUNS AND LOTS OF ROOM. THIS IS THE BEST SKI AREA IN THE U.S. AND MAYBE EUROPE TOO (HAVEN'T BEEN TO ALL OF EUROPE-PROBABLY WON'T EVER GO, TOO GOOD IN THE U.S. AND MORE AFFORDABLE!).

Snowmass is simply the best, it is secluded and has a wide variety of terrain the equivalent of four different ski resorts.

We can always count on Snowmass for a lot of snow. Sometimes heavy and wet but there is a lot of it. The access to the mountain(s) is excellent when flying into Aspen.

I have told many fellow skiers this very statement. Snowmass has the best combination of all levels of runs and the grooming is the best. Aspen is nearby, for additional challenges and the villages with many choices for fine dining, make this ski trip, my FAVORITE. Bob Jacobs

Snowmass seems to be blessed with good snow most of the season. It's a good resort for the family as well as upper level skiers too. A+++ !!!

I thought that the resort was very family friendly, low key, extremely accessible for skiing, and very fairly priced

I love snowmass! The perfect family vacation. We have had three generations skiing together!

Snowmass has something for everyone. It has plenty of flatter beginner terrain, lots of intermediate terrain, as well as some expert terrain here and there. If you are in the Aspen/ Snowmass area, Snowmass will probably have the most to offer for most people.

Snowmass has a very "commercial" setting at the bottom of the mountain with a back area that contradicts its bottom mountain atmosphere. It doesn't feel very down to earth as far as "people welcomed here."

No need to rent a car. Lodging is close enough to walk to the lifts or take a shuttle bus.

Like a combination of factors - terrain - long crusing plus more challange, if desired - wife and I are both intermediates. Also, like Svillage, reasonable accomodations - family friendly - close to Aspen but not quite as glitzy. Also enjoy lack f life lines!

Snowmass has it all. It is great for a boys ski vacation, and it is great when I take my wife and daughter skiing as well. I enjoy the long cruising blues, and the challenging blacks. I don't find mysief getting bored when I ski with my family on the lesser blues and greens either. Snowmass is also beautiful. The scenery from atop Elks Camp is my favorite of anywhere I have skied. A friend of mine has a place there, but I manage to get there once a year even if I don't go out with him. I find it that appealing. Second place goes to Steamboat, everything else pales after that.
