On the Mountain
Alpine sports are hunger-inspiring pursuits, that’s why Lunch Rock sits at the top of Mary Jane and features a kitchen serving American fare and a full service bar. Meanwhile, Snoasiswhich sits atop the Winter Park territory features a large, comprehensive menu of burgers, fries, pizza, sandwiches, chips, sodas and so on. If you need a quick bite to eat but do not want to pull yourself away from the mountain, you can visit these spots for lunch and resume your fun on the hill.
Be prepared to pay for convenience though, as both places are consistent with exorbitant mountain resort prices.
After a day on the slopes you will have no doubt worked up a champion appetite. Thankfully, the area offers a diverse variety of establishments that specialize in fantastic food and outstanding service. You can relax and dress comfortably, as most establishments are laid-back, casual and easy going.
We recommend a visit to Lime Mexican Cantina, which features standard cultural fare as well as strong frozen margaritas. The Pizza Pedal’r and Back Bowl Soup both offer stupendous renditions of what their respective names state. These places are best when your hunger just can’t wait because they are located right at the base of the slopes.

We’ve tried them all and they are all great options. They are all worth a visiteven if you are staying in Winter Park or on-resort, especially if you’re craving a change of scenery.
Nothing compliments an amazing day on the slopes like unwinding on a night out among the locals. You can meet locals just about anywhere, but we’ve come up with a list of establishments where they get together to party on a regular basis. Winter Park is an international tourist destination, so foreign visitors with accents are common and treated with friendliness and respect.
If a few games of pool and some live music is your après-ski remedy, Ullrs Tavern is a nightclub that offers both. Don’t expect white linen tablecloths or red carpet treatment though - this place is the “real deal.”
Winter Park Pub serves American food until late and offers affordable drinks - especially during happy hour. You can watch your favorite sports on the TVs or enjoy live music, ski movies and local events.
If you’re in Fraser, the Crooked Creek is a great hangout and with a “down to earth” vibe with affordable drinks, live music and a generous happy hour.
