Meadows has the best terrain of any ski area in the Portland, OR, area, and is a short drive from the city. On a good year they get a lot of snow although, in keeping with the PNW, it does tend to be a bit wet and heavy. Can get crowded on weekends, but mid-week and in the middle ... More

Excellent beginner terrain, but also some of the most steep and hardcore terrain on Mt hood. Lines longer than timberline and ski bowl, but still nothing compared to bigger resorts.
