The largest resort in the Mt Hood National Park, Mt Hood Meadows also has the fastest lifts and best terrain around. Given its pros, the ski resort is rather popular and sees quite the crowds especially during holidays, it's also the most expensive resort here at Mt Hood. Nonetheless, it's one of the top resorts around.

Meadows has great terrain but expect to race everyone from Portland and Vancouver to get there on time to fit into their parking lots. It gets crazy busy and you gotta be on it to get it.... More

Meadows has the best terrain of any ski area in the Portland, OR, area, and is a short drive from the city. On a good year they get a lot of snow although, in keeping with the PNW, it does tend to be a bit wet and heavy. Can get crowded on weekends, but mid-week and in the middle of a snowstorm the crowds thin out quite a bit.... More

Shredows! Best mountain in the Hood area by far. Has all the terrain you could want and still has fun parks. Not as well known as Timberline but worth the extra 20-30 drive from Portland. Do it, I promise you will be more stoked. ... More

Premier ski resort located in a very beautiful place. Easily accessible from the metro areas and not over crowded. Oregon's tallest peak and with a wonderful snow-pack. Great backcountry and park options. Mt. Hood Meadows raises the bar.... More

Great all around terrain for all levels. Lots of fun hidden side country. Plus great steeps in Heather’s and Clark’s Canyon. My favorite of the Mt. Hood resorts. When the snow is good and all the lifts are running Meadows is one of the best resorts around. But it can fall victim to freeze-thaw conditions or what we call in the PNW “cascade... More

Grew up knowing meadows was the best resort on Mt Hood. From learning to turn and stop on buttercup to year's later exploring hard carves and steeps through Heather canyon, meadows is this Portland locals favorite!... More

Greatest diversity of terrain and adventure parks on mount hood. Lines on main lifts can take a while but other sides of the resort are mischievous more smooth sailing. Definitely my favorite resort on the mighty Wy’east! ... More

Excellent beginner terrain, but also some of the most steep and hardcore terrain on Mt hood. Lines longer than timberline and ski bowl, but still nothing compared to bigger resorts.
